What is your medication and sick policy?

Our sick policy is written with the best interest of all children - sick and healthy. Vomiting, diarrhea, a nose with yellow and green mucus, eyes with redness and/or yellow or green mucus and a fever are all signs that your child may perhaps be sick and possibly contagious. We cannot stress the importance of keeping your child home when ill. If your child is sent home with any of the above mentioned illnesses, your child must be symptom free for 24 hours and a doctor's note may be required to return stating your child is not contagious.

Our center is licensed to dispense medication. The administration of medications requires a completed MAT form signed by the parent and the physician. Additionally, Christian Prep Academy  requires the parent's consent for all creams and ointments you provide for your child.

What do I do if my child becomes sick at  Christian Prep Academy?

If a child becomes ill at the center, we will make him or her as comfortable as we can until the parent, guardian or emergency contact person is contacted and is able to pick up the child. We request that your child be picked up in a timely matter.

Are immunizations and physicals required?

Yes. We require all children to have an updated physical prior to their start date and updated annually. All children's immunizations must follow an immunization schedule put forth by the NC Department of Human Services. If a parent chooses not to have his or her child immunized, they must have the immunization release form signed and dated by the child's physician. A monthly notice will be sent home if your child is in need of an updated physical and/or immunizations.
